Vivum creates reproductions of historical doors based on existing originals, plans or photographic references. Form, proportions, material, colour and finish are reproduced faithfully. Locks, hardware and technical mechanisms are executed to contemporary standards and matched to the requirements of each project.

The process begins with documenting the original: dimensions, profiles, panels, glazing, timber species, colour and finish. Existing originals, plans or photographs form the basis for the reproduction.

Proportions, profiling, composition and finish determine the effect. Modern functions are integrated so that the historical appearance remains as calm and coherent as possible.

Proportions, milling details and composition are reproduced from the existing original, a drawing or a historical model.

Glazing and visible details are designed in reference to the historical original. Locks, hardware and technical mechanisms are executed to contemporary standards.

Timber species, colour and finish follow the original, while the technical execution is adapted to the project’s current requirements.

For protected or heritage-sensitive buildings, the scope of protection, material selection, visible details and technical interventions are coordinated with the design team and the relevant specialist authorities.
Execution and approval remain project-specific. Vivum supports documentation, sampling, technical clarification, manufacturing, delivery and installation in Switzerland.
